The driver must have a valid driving license at least 5 years old. The minimum age for renting a car is 23 years or 25 years - depending on the category of the car. A credit card is also required.

What documents should I provide for renting a car?

Before you rent a car from us, you must be provided with valid documents (driver's license, coupon, if issued by the Republic of Bulgaria, passport or other identity document) to both the main driver and the additional driver.

What are the requirements for a driving license (driver's license)?

Driving license must be valid on the date of the rental. If it is issued by the Republic of Bulgaria, a coupon must be provided. If a driver's license is issued by a non-EU country, it is recommended that drivers have an international license or a national driver's license. Otherwise, upon request of the local police documents, this may result in a fine and confiscation of the vehicle. All citizens of the EU, USA, Canada, Australia and Switzerland can use their national driving license for car rental in Bulgaria.

Can anyone else but me drive the car?

Yes, if his name and data are entered into the contract as an additional driver.

Is there a charge for an additional driver?

An additional driver charge is applied per day for more than two drivers.

Can I rent / return the vehicle in out-of-hours?

You can rent or return a car at any time after a reservation has been made. In this case, an additional fee applies. Our working hours are from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 18:00, Sunday - a day off. If you wish to rent / set your car off-hours, in the hourly range between 07:00 and 22:00, the fee is 10,00 €. In the hourly range between 22:00 and 07:00, the additional fee will be € 20.00. On public holidays - Easter, Christmas (24.12, 25.12, 26.12), New Year (31.12, 01.01) a fee is applied - 09:00 and 18:00 - 20 €; 18:00 and 09:00 - 40 €.

Can I rent a car for travel outside Bulgaria?

It is possible to rent a car for travel outside the country only upon prior request. In this case, additional fees are applied, which include: issuing a translated driving license outside the Republic of Bulgaria, Green Card certificate, extended coverage of "Autocasco" insurance, increased mileage, and some destinations not allowed.

Can I rent / return the car to another city?

Upon prior request, it is possible that our car will be delivered or released at any point in Bulgaria or abroad, and an additional fee of 0.80 BGN / km will be charged.

Is it necessary to leave a guarantee deposit when renting the car and what will it be?

When renting a car, our representative will ask for a guarantee deposit. The amount will be blocked by the driver's credit card and will be released (unblocked) after the car is returned. As a general rule and to give you a general idea of ​​the amount of the deposit, please bear in mind that it is usually calculated from the expected rental costs: a full fuel tank as well as any additional services / equipment that can (children's seats, GPS navigation, luggage compartment, additional insurance cover, leaving the borders of the Republic of Bulgaria, possibility to continue the rental period, etc.). Therefore, on request or on an online request, you will be given the exact amount for a deposit. We would also like to inform you that when hiring the car, the staff have the right to change the size of the deposit at their discretion.

Why is a deposit required to be left?

The deposit of the vehicle covers damage caused by the tenants and not included in the insurance (not covered by it) - loss of keys or documents of the vehicle, missing fuel, damage to the interior and additional equipment (child seats, GPS navigation , luggage compartment, etc.), tires, wheels, wheels, etc., for which no crash report has been provided. The deposit is due when renting the car and is refunded upon return of the car.

What insurances are included in the rental price of a car?

Our car rental price in Bulgaria includes the following insurances, which are valid provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.

These insurances are obligatory and provide you with peace of mind during the rental period. Also, you will be issued with a local police report, which will later be given to the landlord, as well as provide full assistance for the occurrence of damages during the lease period to the insurance company.

What happens if I change or cancel my car rental reservation?

To change or cancel your reservation at TRUE Rent a Car, you must inform us in writing as soon as possible. No refunds or deductions are made for changes to the reservation if they were made less than 24 hours earlier than the time specified in your booking voucher for renting or leasing your car. Extension of the rental period may take place at least 24 hours before the expiration of the lease and if no other reservation is made for the respective vehicle.

Is there a limit on the mileage for renting a car in Bulgaria or abroad?

When renting a car for travel within the boundaries of the Republic of Bulgaria, there is no limit to mileage. If you wish to travel with one of our rented cars abroad, the restrictions will be specified in advance upon your request.

What to do if the car breaks down?

What will happen if it slows down the return of the car?

If you delay the return of your vehicle, you must contact us immediately. For a delay of up to 1 hour, you do not owe an additional fee. For a delay of 1 to 4 hours, you will be charged half a rent, and for a delay of more than 4 hours, you will be charged one additional day rent.

Can I hitch a car trailer?

No way! This is in absolute contravention of our rental conditions.

Can I take out the car seats?
